Our Vacation 2008

We took Colton to Kansas City last week for a little get away before his tonsillectomy and before he starts his "school" program. We went to the T-Rex Cafe and ate with the dinosaurs, Cabelas and saw lots of animals and to the Great Wolf Lodge where they have a huge indoor waterpark. Colton loved it. He rode all 8 slides and everytime he came down one he'd say "do it 'gain". Here are some pictures of him. You can move the curser over the pictures as they come into view and see the captions or click on "View all images" to see them with the captions on slide.com.

Update on the Hazzards

I know we have been a little behind on our blogging. We haven't been up to a whole lot except some home projects and trying to stay cool in the heat. Colton loves to swim so we try to go as much as we can. He already goes off the diving board and can kick his legs to get himself back to the side. He has decided he is a big boy and has been potty training for about a month. He still has a few accidents but has been doing pretty well overall. The Dr. was right - when they decided to do it themselves is should make it easier. We are so proud of him! He will be having his tonsils and adenoids out on Aug. 21st. His tonsils touch in the middle and he snores a lot and we've been concerned he has sleep apnea. He also chokes on food and won't eat many things. We hope this will help him. He begins Sonshine School on Sept. 2nd. He will go Tues./Thurs. from 9:30 to 2:30. He is so excited - He talks about it all the time.

We are about 3 months from Kinzie's (or Kenzie) due date. We are debating the spelling right now. We have written it down so many times I think we have about decided it doesn't matter to us. We'll let you know once we've decided. We have painted her room - we just need to do the stenciling and I have been washing all of the clothes Emily has passed on to us. Thank you, Emily.

I have put two updates below on Colton. Hope you enjoy!

Spiderman

We went out to eat last night at Old Chicago with our friends Kelly and Jamie. Little did we know that Tuesday nights they have a lady that does face painting. Jason took Colton over to do his. I was thinking a little something on his cheek but he came back with his face painted as Spiderman. Jason said as soon as Colton saw the picture he couldn't be talked into anything else.

He loves it! I took the full body picture first and then said "Let's take one more closer." These are the two I took. Then Colton said "Just one more."

So we did another. The he wanted one with the new bear his Uncle James gave him. He is with me as I post them begging me to put them all on for Nana to see. He is so proud. Everytime we go into the bathroom he runs to the mirror so he can "see Spiderman".

(Uncle James gave him the bear the other day. When he got it I asked him what it was and he said "Bear has on OU shirt." We were surprised since we didn't teach him that was the OU logo and we didn't think he knew very many letters yet. He's too smart for us.)

Colton's Jeep

We took Colton to the Edmond Parade for the 4th of July. He waved his flag as he watched. He enjoyed the fire engines - of course - and all of the Shriners on their different vehicles. Later that day we went to Jason's grandparents' for a family reunion. He played with Kason, ate homemade ice cream, held a few sparklers and spent the majority of the time riding a Power Wheels 4-Wheeler. He loved it!
So Jason's Aunt Robby told us we could have a Jeep that was at her house.
Colton could hardly wait for the batteries
to charge so he could drive it. The last few weeks he has worn tracks in the grass in our backyard driving it in circles. Look out! Here he comes!
